on our last day in st john, over a month ago, we had some friends tell us about the mysterious petroglyphs down the reef bay trail.  we were determined to seek them out just as soon as we returned.

what makes them so mysterious? well no one really knows when they were inscribed or when.  the st john beach guide gives a great rundown on all the different theories.

we paused periodically during our 2.5 mile hike to take in and photograph some of the local wildlife.
