I’ve always wondered what Cruz Bay looked like before humans developed it- so I decided to recreate it, with a vintage photograph feel.

last night emily and I had an unusual yum event.  this is the result

Artist, linguist, scientist, friend.  Daniel is the quintessential diamond in the rough.  He’s pictured here with a young male donkey that he has watched over since its birth-ironically, the donkey is also the animal he associates the most with (and used as a logo for his old design business).  ”Love City” is St John’s nickname.

This image was created from one image and a lot of  late night photoshopping with Emily.

I was so excited to take a stab at photoshopping Lar’s pic of coral bay (from this post), that we went ahead and made a whole ‘activity’ out of it.  He picked one of mine to shop with (the airplane catwalk), and I worked on our view.  =)  and here are the results!

I had this idea of making a composite photo of Laurences in the kitchen to illustrate the way one man in the kitchen can sometimes feel like many.  It became a bigger project than I anticipated, and will probably remain unfinished… but I wanted to post it anyway just for fun.  Enjoy!

Alexa and I had a lovely outing at the Wilmington Arboretum on an unusually warm January day.  First we took turns sketching no-look contour drawings of our favorite scene, (hers on the left, mine on the right), then we painted them with watercolors.  Afterward, we explored the little fairy hut, and she looked like a fairy herself sitting in the corner, so I gave her wings!
