this morning we woke up for the first time in the house we will be calling home for the next 6 months. it’s still amazingly surreal. the sunrise didn’t allow me to sleep much past 7. in wilmington this would have been irritating, but when you’re greeted with a morning view like this one it’s impossible to complain.
walking into the kitchen i discovered our roommate nemo lounging by the door. i think he was waiting for his mother to return home (the lovely woman who we are renting the house from). olly refused to leave the bedroom until emily awoke. when she finally did, he followed her faithfully into the kitchen hoping for some breakfast scraps to find their way into his mouth.
