{accidental photography}

i had emily next to me for the majority of this piece. her and I both agree that it’s not entirely “right”, but I decided to go ahead and declare it completed so I could move on to the next project.  one incarnation of this image had my friend Obin Olson filming the entire scene (complete with his red one camera and two mic’d booms).

i was striving for something balanced, and was hitting many obstacles. the image began with my head on the empty downtown wilmington street. i then added the giant dog, and mechanized him (the satellite dishes were added to create the idea of it being remote controlled).  the left side of the image i struggled with- i decided to add the word that summed up the overall mood of the work and call it quits.
